I draw inspiration from the natural world and the beauty I find in authentic, unique individuals. My goal is to convey a love for the human spirit and the world we inhabit. My portraits seek to express the essence of those I paint, celebrating their individuality and the emotions that connect us all.
Beyond the canvas, I believe in using my art as a means of giving back. A portion of the proceeds from my work goes toward supporting local and national causes that help victims and families in need. Art has the power not only to move people but to make a tangible difference in the world, and that belief fuels both my creative process and my purpose. Through my work, I hope to inspire viewers to see the beauty in the world around them and in each other, and to remind us all of our shared humanity."
Welcome to Jesse Cloud Art
Jesse Cloud is a mixed media and oil painting artist working and living in Deep Creek, Maryland. Originally from Clearwater, Florida, she is influenced equally by the vastly different landscapes, cultures, and atmospheres of both places. She paints under her family name of Cloud because it connects her to her ancestry, her personal history, and her love of nature. Jesse has sketched and drawn since she was a child, and spent many evenings stretched out on her bedroom floor as a teen drawing tattoo flash from her dad’s studio. After a long career in a very practical field as an adult, she realized that the artistic urge was only getting stronger. She finally decided to seriously pursue a life of creating, and she chose to study with the Milan Art School where she completed the Mastery Program.
Jesse’s art focuses on the joy of creating, subjects that inspire delight, and feelings that connect us all in our sacred journey on earth. Her love for people and the natural world can be found in the details of her work. Her art clearly expresses the vibrancy and vitality that is within her. Her mixed media process balances intuitive marks and layers with her consideration of the classic elements of art. The outcomes are authentic expressions of herself which hold energy that draws in those who are called to relate and respond.
Jesse lives with her husband Nathan, her dog Chloe, and whatever cats have decided to make the farm their home. She spends as much time in her studio as possible, looking out at spruces and mature apple trees, watching the plethora of wildlife, and letting it inspire her. God willing, she plans to continue to travel and experience life, connect with others, and absorb the sacred joy of living so that she can turn around and put it all back out on the canvas.
